You know, I always wanted 5 kids, and have been sad that we couldn't have more....and to be honest, a bit jealous of those mommy's with more kids. I like lots of kids, and having them around! I keep thinking more would come, but alas, they haven't decided to come here.
However, even though I have been sad about just having my two, I am really starting to appreciate it! They are both great kids, and as they get older, what a fun time we have!! And since they are close in age, they have a fun time too. They are great friends (and sometimes enemies) and really like each other.
I haven't been feeling 100% lately, so I have slept in, and Chad has woken the kids up for me. One day, they both came in, dressed and ready and hugged me awake. Ahhh what a good start to the day!!
This entire week, they have gotten up, no arguments, gotten dressed, made each other breakfast, and lunch, packed their bags, ensured scriptures are read, and family prayer is completed. What a awesome thing!!
So, I think that I'm not going to be as jealous of all those mommies with lots of babies and stuff, well, not as much...and really just have fun! And we can! They can help clean up, get picnics ready, and then really appreciate what we do!
So yeah Eck children. Child 1 and Child 2!! (kinda a play on Thing one and Thing two in Dr Seuss!!)

I TOTALLY know what you mean. I wanted 5 too, just like my mom had, and it just wasn't in the cards for me. I just need to get where you are and be okay with it!! I mainly just worry about Olivia not having a sister to grow up with cause I'm so close to my own sisters. Thanks for reminding me to be grateful with what I've been given. And I AM!!! I love your kids too!
I think it's just been in the last 6 months I've started feeling this way. Having Rory in 1st grade and Paige in 3rd, then thinking about a new baby really throws it around...ya know? It's doable, but I'm really liking this time too!
