Also, afterwards, we will have dessert at our home if you would like to join us!!

Ah....A heat wave!

Okay--now THIS is what I'm talking about! Nice fluffy white snow and a downright balmy 31 degrees. That's my kind of winter! I can wear a t-shirt and polar fleece with some knit gloves and my boots. Not too bulky, not to thin.....JUST right!
Looking out the back door the yard, part of our front yard.

What happens when they use their imagination....

Yeah--um--this is what I found....
And just so ALL of you know....RORY was the one behind this. Yes, yes, he totally sat on Paige, held her down and made "Chicken Pox" all over her. There was absolutely NOTHING she could do. She was helpless....HELPLESS. Because he's a big, bad, sitter-on-his-sister-holding-her-down-boy....
I'm having a difficult time believing this story......look at this face....would he do that???
Thank heavens for alcohol. We have used it a couple times lately. And for those of you who are concerned, I'm not talking the drinking kind....CINDI--Stop it!! I know you are falling off your chair right now--don't make me break our your mom's liquor~~Oh yeah....you know what I mean..and isn't your dad in the bishopric? Hummmm????

Burrrrrrr

Okay--it's COLD--like oh my goodness COLD!! So cold the buses couldn't run COLD. I like the snow, but I have to say, I prefer the warm fluffy insulating snow......our house is COLD! The soda in the refrigerator in the garage has slush in it, that's how cold! Maybe we could save electricity and turn the freeze and fridge off out there? We thought about a pellet stove this year, but just couldn't do it....now I think I might be sad... it was 4 degrees this AM.
The kids didn't have school, so I made scones. They were so excited. I didn't tell them it was so I could huddle in front of it!! But scones are always yummy! Especially with fresh blackberry jam from Grandma Marlene! Paige keeping warm on the way to the bus stop before we knew..
This kinda makes her look likes she's going through the woods to Grandmother's house we go. But she really was just going down the street to the bus stop! LOL
On the other hand, it's almost Christmas, and we will have lots of people here, and lots of people means lots of body heat!! YEAH!!
And on another hand, we have a home, and are not outside like so many people. How sad and scary is that?
Chad is hating the heat on right now, but goodness gracious....we are wearing our coats inside! LOL! I'm so glad he's warm, or I might not make it at night!! hee hee. Just so everyone knows, my hands and feet are ALWAYS cold!! Poor Chad--but he loves me! side note--Chad is wearing a sleeping bag around the house too.....it's not just me! But don't tell him I told! Here he's using the Halloween Quilt. I know...it's Christmas..that one is on the couch too....with the everyday quilt! The kids are super happy and enjoying their time outside. I just keep them supplied with hot chocolate or caramel apple cider....Sadie is crazy too. She gets out there, bounds to the top of the rocks, then rolls all around in the snow, and follows them to the bus stop--then hurries home to hop on my bed!
I'm super excited, as it's just a couple more days and then vacation! YIPPEE!!
I hope all of you are staying warm and cozy!! We are playing the wonderful Christmas music and loving being together, and that's what it's all about!

And if you have a fireplace, can you invite me over? Please? :)

Camera

Okay--so my camera is not working....sigh....and we took the kids out on a lark for some pics...then Chad's quit working....is it a sign? Anyway, here are some cute ones before it completely quit working!
LOVE these two (above and below)--what cute little berries!
On our picnic rock.....Love that place

They are getting so BIG! Sad!

While reading scriptures this morning, there was a verse where it said "listen to my words, least you be smitten", or something to that effect.
Rory says, "well, how do we listen to his words?"
I said, "reading scriptures is how"
Rory immediately followed it up with "Well, keep reading!"
LOL!

And my little Paige-a-roo. What a sweet girl. So helpful with her brother, and obeying the things we are supposed to do, with no qualms. I love her. But when did she get old enough for Achievement Day Girls? When????
Here she is at the last activity.....where did time go?

I hope all her pictures don't show her as swanky-magee.....scary!! She looks like a washed up rock star!!

Don't you love this grin??? LOVE IT Braya!!!

One more thing

Oh yeah--besides a can opener--I'm hoping also for a labeler....evil laugh....for those that don't know, I've been really working on our food storage, and as such, needed a place to put them. SO...my lovely, kind husband, who loves me (oh yeah, and Rory too) is making me shelves. They are ALMOST done! Then I can go organize and place my goodies. They are 7 feet long and about 20 inches wide. Perfect for canning jars and bulk items! I'm so super excited about them! (BTW Rory created me a shelf too, which is when I found my camera was broken...he was so cute on the floor of the garage hammering his little heart out!) Paige and I were inside sewing! Paige is making Rory's Christmas present, she did such a great job! I know he will love it! She's a handy little girl!!
Back to the labeler........
I like organized, and have found that working full time and 2 little kids cuts WAY back on anything STAYING organized, so I shoot for sorta organized and put away at this point.
I will say it's kept me much more sane, and like Chad says, "it's really not going to matter if the clothes are put away or not". Sigh.......it's true.
I do know that one day I'll look back and be sorry there isn't peanut butter on the jar, and down the drawers, and jelly on the floor and the bottom of the fridge. I'll be sorry there aren't handprints and sticky all over the chairs. I'll even be sorry that when I fold up our blankets for the couch, that I won't find MULTIPLE little socks, and sometimes underwear. (Rory likes to get changed in the living room.) I'll be sorry there isn't more toothpaste spread around the sink and counter and maybe on the rugs in the bathroom. I'll be sorry when they aren't around to make me eggs for breakfast and bring it to Chad and I in bed...then get to clean dried/cooked eggs off the stove! I love those little buggers and wish they weren't growing so fast!
But maybe I SHOULD call that cleaning person?????

Camera

!!! POOH !!!
I emptied my camera memory, as I FINALLY filled it! Guess what??? Now it doesn't work? Stinky! So Chad's trying to get me that for Christmas--I'm going to run to the store and get one really quick, cause I'd rather have a can opener!!
